  • How long does it take to install hardwood flooring
The time it takes to install hardwood flooring depends on the size of the area it is being installed in. Typically, it takes 1-3 days to install a hardwood floor. A crew of 2 installers can do between 750 to 1,000 square feet a day.

  • Should I install carpet underpadding?
Yes, you will also need underlayment, otherwise known as padding. It does not matter how thick or thin your carpet is, you need it. Underlayment protects the carpet from wear against a bare floor and cushions the impact of walking on the carpet.

  • How much does carpeting cost?
All flooring products are sold by the square foot. The average price is $2 a square foot, but prices can be as high as $12 a square foot. These prices do not include installation costs or underlayment.

  • What can I use to clean my hardwood flooring?
There are several store-bought products that you can buy such as Murphy’s Oil Soap and Bona. You may also create a solution including one part vinegar and ten parts of water. You may also add a few drops of liquid castile soap.

  • Is laminate flooring waterproof?
No, laminate flooring is not waterproof. Brands may falsely advertise their products ad being waterproof, but they are deceiving you. Laminate flooring is water-resistant though, meaning it can last a long time with water while not absorbing any of it.

  • How much is laminate flooring?
Laminate flooring ranges from $3 to $11 per square foot. This does not include the cost of installation or underlayment.
